Join the Waunakee IDEA and Waunakee Public Library in celebrating Disability Pride Month with a viewing of the film The Ride Ahead: Love, Tattoos, and Other Disabled Things.

About the Film: Samuel Habib is a typical 21-year-old, itching to move out, start a career, and find love. But no one tells you how to be an adult, let alone an adult with a disability. Can a community of disability activists help him follow his dreams? THE RIDE AHEAD (96 min) from father-son co-directors Samuel Habib & Dan Habib, is the feature-length version of the Emmy Award-winning New York Times Op-Doc, My Disability Roadmap. View trailer

Refreshments provided (sandwiches and chips), please register to RSVP.

This event is a collaboration with POV, the award-winning independent non-fiction film series on PBS www.pbs.org/pov. Not able to attend? Catch the PBS broadcast premiere of The Ride Ahead on July 21st at 10pm!
