The library building is currently closed due to COVID-19. However, we are working to continue to provide you with a range of services to use from the comfort and safety of your home.
The best way to reach us during this time is via email at email@example.com. However, staff are available by phone at 608-849-4217 (choose extension 4 to talk to a librarian) from 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, and are periodically checking voicemails during other times.
Can I place holds on items to pick up?
We now offer curbside pickup of holds! Because the Safer at Home order does not allow for the transportation of items between locations, you will need to place holds on items that are available on the shelf in Waunakee. When you receive a notification that your hold is ready, please call the library at 608-849-4217 between 9am and 6pm, Monday-Friday to schedule a pickup time. You will need an appointment to pick up your materials.
Apply for a library card
If you do not have a library card, you can fill out our online application for a web-use card. This card will give you access to our digital resources and can be converted to a regular card for checking out physical materials when the building reopens. You will receive your card number and a welcome email within 24 hours of submitting the application. If you already have a library card but have lost it or do not know the number, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of our digital resources are available 24/7, although most require a library card to use. These resources include Wisconsin's Digital Library, RBdigital for current and back issues of magazines, digital access to the New York TImes, and many other great research and entertainment resources. If you have questions about getting started on these resources, email us at email@example.com.
