Waunakee Public Library

This is a story on the farm history from 1892 when Henry Schumacher purchased the land, built the house, got married, built the barn, and had Marcella in 1910. Local friends give anecdotes of Marcella growing up, teaching in Waunakee, the neighbors, events, and of Marcella donating the farm to Dane County. The film finishes with highlights from events held on the farm which include the prairie burns and the Heritage Fest with demonstrations of farm equipment from the 1920/30's. Presented by filmmaker, Roger Bindl.
