The Cherry Harvest by Lucy Sanna

Lucy Sanna will present a collection of slides depicting the fascinating historical background of her novel, The Cherry Harvest, set it Door county during WW-II.   Her novel explores a hidden side of the home front when German POWs were put to work in a Wisconsin Farm Community. There will be a Q and A with a book discussion afterward.  WW-II history buffs will enjoy this unique, relatively unknown collaboration between the War Department and Wisconsin.

Lucy Sanna, author of both fiction and nonfiction, has found success in venues ranging from poetry and short stories to feature science articles and self-help books. With an education in English literature, a nose for research, and a passion for sensual detail, Lucy easily moves through time, place, and voice, bringing both creative fancy and authenticity to her work.  Her debut novel, THE CHERRY HARVEST (William Morrow) launched in June 2015.
