Mindfulness and Stress Management

When:
Thursday, October 20, 2016 - 7:00pm to 8:15pm

Are you looking for ways to handle life more effectively under pressure? Have you felt stressed, anxious, forgetful, irritable, restless, nervous or overstimulated? Mindfulness is a simple technique that can change our habitual patterns of reacting to stress.  We can train our brain to respond in ways that help regulate our nervous system so we don’t react to all of the stresses we face in unproductive ways, e.g,  by saying things we don’t mean, by forgetting the things that really matter, or feeling like we’ll “explode” by all the pressures. Mindfulness can help manage pain, and can help increase focus, concentration, calmness, memory, sleep, health, conflict resolution, peace, joy and more! Learn mindfulness and other relaxation techniques in this introductory workshop.
