The Waunakee Public Library Forever Fund is an endowment; the principal will always remain intact. Interest earned will be used for innovative programs which surpass the library's normal budget, such as:
- Author Visits
- Lecture Series
- Technology Upgrades
- Staff Development
- Special Children's Programs
The Madison Community Foundation is offering a challenge grant, matching every two dollars with an additional dollar.
All contributors will be acknowledged. A list of contributions will appear regularly in the Waunakee Tribune. All gifts of $1,000 or more will be featured on a permanent plaque to be displayed in the library. Names of all contributors will be honored in the Waunakee Public Library Forever Fund Donor Book which will be displayed at the library.
