Jessica Michna, artist / historian owner and operator of company First Impressions, will present herself acting as Eleanor Roosevelt in "Eleanor Roosevelt: Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?" In the late 1920's America would be plunged into the greatest economic depression it had ever known. The Hoover administration was unable or unwilling to help, but Franklin Roosevelt thought he had a plan. Upon his election to the presidency in 1932 he immediately went to work on an alphabet soup of plans. Mrs Roosevelt would prove essential in the implementation of many of the social plans initiated by her husband. During the years of the Great Depression Eleanor would criss-cross America. She would go to the most economically depressed areas of the county. She was the president's eyes, ears and legs.
