Grant PartnersLet’s Talk About it: Making Sense of the American Civil War, a reading and discussion series has been made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association. Waunakee Public Library is one of 65 libraries nationwide receiving grants to host the American Civil War series developed by the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Local support for the series is provided by the Waunakee Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11244 (V.F.W.), the Robert M. Coakley American Legion Post 481, the Senior Center of Waunakee, the Waunakee Community High School, the Friends of Waunakee Public Library, and the Homeschool Book Group. | Discussion LeaderAdam Malka, a senior PhD candidate in U.S. History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will lead a discussion of the book at each session. Mr. Malka’s focus is on nineteenth century U.S. history and he has compiled extensive experience both researching and teaching about the Civil War.
